The Hacienda El Santuario San Miguel de Allende is located in the city of San Miguel de Allende. This town is full of historic charm, as it was the very origin of significant events that took place during Mexico’s struggle for independence. Much of its colonial baroque architecture remains from that era. As for the city’s natural spaces, El Chorro is a beautiful area surrounded by gardens with a natural spring at the top of a vantage point. You can also discover an incredible natural reserve at the El Charco del Ingenio botanical garden.

Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel

The impressive style of this parish church makes it representative of the city. It dates back to between 1555 and 1890, when construction and refurbishment finished. As such, its initial baroque style evolved into a neo-Gothic style, and it is for that reason that it has the impressive appearance of a castle.

Ignacio Ramírez «El Nigromante» Cultural Center

This space forms part of the National Institute of Fine Art, making it attractive to creators, critics, and artists. The city’s cultural life is revitalized through the activities at this center.

La Aurora factory

For 90 years, this was a textile factory, an important landmark in Mexico’s cloth production. Today, it is a center for art and design that collects paintings, sculptures, and other national and local artistic works.

Artisan market

This market is practically a must-visit, as it shows off the roots of the city’s culture. Local handcrafts are sold here by those who work with ceramics, wool, and brass, as well as timber, precious metals, and sculpted stone.

El Chorro

This natural spring led to the construction of beautiful washing tubs during the 18th century. The architecture can still be appreciated today. Also, this entire natural area is perfect for excursions.

El Charco del Ingenio

The biodiversity of this incredible natural reserve has boosted ethnobiology research, a discipline that studies the use of the region’s native plants. This has also made it possible to create an important botanical collection that you can visit.
